Prez Says for March 2023

Welcome to March, the month of daffodils and St. Patrick's Day!  Hopefully, the cold and snow will be gone soon as we experience longer days and shorter nights.

On March 7th our General Meeting program will be "Adding Streaming to Your Smart TV" presented by Hewie Poplock.  This will be a hybrid meeting (in-person and Zoom combined). Streaming services have revolutionized the way we consume entertainment content.  It has become the go-to option for people looking to watch their favorite movies, TV shows, and other video content without having to rely on traditional cable TV.  The good news is that you can now enjoy these streaming services on your smart TV.  If your TV does not have a built-in app store or does not support the streaming service you want to add, you can also use external devices such as Roku,  Amazon Fire TV Stick, or Apple TV to access these services.  These devices connect to your TV via an HDMI cable and allow you to access a wide range of streaming services.  Adding streaming services to your smart TV is a simple straightforward process.  With the availability of numerous streaming services, you can enjoy endless hours of entertainment from the comfort of your living room.  Take advantage of the services and enjoy your favorite movies, TV shows, and other video content without the need for traditional cable TV.  Please join us at 7:00 PM for this informative program.

Do you have questions about using your computer or smartphone?    Join us at 6:00 PM on March 7th for our Tech Corner, a hybrid meeting.

If you want to learn more about Linux, visit Steve Herber at our Linux Special Interest Group Hybrid Meeting starting at 6:30 PM on March 14th.

Don't forget to drop in on Sally Ann at our Zoom Digital Imaging Special Interest Group Meeting at 7:00 PM on March 28th.  Magic Eraser was the most popular of the new apps in February.

Our next Auction will be in June.  We request that you bring your donations to an in-person meeting or have them picked up by May 1st.

To keep up with technology, visit https://www.techforsenior.com to learn about their Monday morning meetings (9:00 AM PT), their Newsletter, and their Facebook page.
