UPDATE - Sep 27, 1999
Well, it isn't going to be quite like you need a reservation for a T-shirt, or anything like that. We here at KEGS struck a deal with a local vendor back in June for some pretty nice T-shirts with our logo on the front where a pocket would be. I told that vendor that I would like to place another order with him in time for RC'99. He said that he needed about 2 weeks lead time, which was fine as far as that went. The kicker was the price. In order to get the price we wanted to pay, we needed to order at least 50 units.
I'm sorry to say that as of our deadline (Sep 17th, 1999), we had only 27 paid orders. Even if we had somehow picked up the difference, albeit temporarily, we still would have had a guessing game on our hands. Murphy's law states that if you order 50 T-shirts, more than 50 people will show up expecting T-shirts. We felt that rather than see attendees go away empty-handed, we would just wait until we had the right headcount at the door. That way we can order the exact number of T-shirts needed, and then mail them out when they're ready. Hence, everybody will get a T-shirt, even if a little later than they first expected.
I've left the rest of this page unmodified. Just ignore the part about the deadline.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This year for the first time ever we will be handing out T-shirts commemorating the last Rain Coast Conference of the millenium. We haven't chosen the color yet, but it definitely will not be white. Stay tuned to this page for an update on that color.
Update  Its gonna be Navy.
The important point here is that we won't know how many T-shirts to order if everyone waits until the day of the conference to register! In order to know how many T-shirts we'll need, we must have your Registration in our hot little hands by the end of the business day, Friday, September 17th, 1999. Note that this the same final date that you must make your hotel Reservation. We just flat need to give our shirt printer enough time to finish the job without any last minute screw-ups.
Also, remember to indicate your T-shirt size on the Registration form.
Thank you for understanding our desire to get the job done right.
