Schedule of Events

UPDATE - October 8, 1999 - See below
Yes, the final updates are here! As of Thurday, Sep 23rd, 1999, the Board of KEGS has set the following course. Since there are significant changes from the previous posting, please read the whole page carefully.

It will soon be obvious to you that we have shortened the schedule by effectively a whole day. Say What?! you exclaim. Alas, we've had two major vendors pull the rug out from under us in the last two weeks. With so short a time left, we are simply striking out trying to find replacement vendors to sponsor the meals, a large part of our budget. Bottom line? Either scratch the whole thing, or go for an abbreviated version. The schedule below shows how we voted.

Thankfully, the hotel went along with our request for a reduced committment as to the number of meals. They could have scotched the whole conference by making us adhere to our original contract. We needed to commit to them, for catering purposes, as of Friday the 24th of September, and our meeting with them went very well.

Note: While every effort will be made to adhere to this schedule, something will go bump in the night, and what you see here will become null and void. Please don't flame us if this happens, because we don't own any stock in Bayer or Tylenol.

To repeat, there will be no post mortem this year. Any comments can be handled by e-mail on the onelist.com server. There will be a discussion during lunch about how far into the future to project elections. The Board of KEGS has reached a compromise within its ranks, and agreed to give the Vancouver group the right of first refusal for hosting the RC2000 event. Should they no longer wish to host said event, that does NOT mean that any other group automatically has dibs on hosting RC2000. A fair and square election will be held in such a case. If Vancouver does elect to go ahead, there will be no election for a RC2001 host. That can be decided either at RC2000, or via e-mail. This would be a really good time to sign up for the onelist server, and get in your two cents worth. Instructions on how to sign up can be found by clicking here.

Please remember to check out of your room before lunch.
Space will be provided in the hospitality suite for those who don't have a car wherein to stash their stuff until the end of the conference.
