Dear Fellow User Group Officers & Volunteers
First, we would like to thank you for taking on the responsibility of volunteering in your Users Group. Dealing with the enabling technology of the personal computer often is a frustration for many of our members. This makes User Groups necessary, and volunteer resources such as yourself are indeed a precious commodity. Your efforts are appreciated, and your attendance at RainCoast '99 underscores your concern for the responsibility.
The agenda for this conference emphasizes Leadership, Management, Education and Communication. Friday afternoon will begin with an early bird's tour of Microsoft Museum. That evening, a social event of a pizza party will be punctuated with a keynote speech from a leader in future technology from Microsoft. Saturday will include discussions and sponsored events ending in a vendor fair in the evening. Sunday will have morning disussions and sponsored events followed by a drawing for prizes.
Late Breaking News:
As of Thursday, Aug 25 '99, it appears that Adobe Systems will be delivering the Keynote address on Friday evening, and that Microsoft will be sponsoring Sunday's event and delivering the farewell address. Stay tuned for details.
A great deal of effort by both the Rain Coast Organizing Committee and the sponsors has been put forth to make this a successful confference. If we all come away with some new knowledge, the effort will have accomplished its purpose. We of the Komputer Enthusiasts of Greater Seattle are pleased to be your host for this year's conference. Your comments are welcome at all times. Thank you for participating in the 1999 regional conference.
